Booster Activities
In addition to running a number of important fundraisers - the golf tournament, banner sales, bottle drive, Gold (Value) Card campaign, 50/50 raffle (supports EMTs on duty), Calcutta, concessions and merchandise sales - the Boosters:
- Put on the Red & White scrimmage and family/player BBQ at beginning of season
- Food and beverages for late night games and long distance games
- Organize laundering of all game uniforms by “trained” parent volunteers
- Arrange for EMT coverage for home games
- Coordinate team-building activities
- Maintain a full list of players, parents and contact information
- Coordinate registration and emergency form materials with coaches and school officials
- Promote games through advertising to increase home stand crowd
- Photos/articles for local newspapers
- Support for coaches
- Promote positive image and morale
- Organize and provide field crew tasks and announcer
- Select, order, and sell logoed CVU Football merchandise
- Coordinate photography, including individual player photo badges for each parent
- Bookkeeping of Booster monies
- Communicates with School personnel and School Board members regarding football program
- Host meetings with parents to inform them of the program and prepare frequent informational email updates
- Put on the End of Season Banquet
- Coordinate an Alumni “Snow Bowl” in late December
- Organize July 4th parade to increase exposure
- Oversee videography – on site and post-game production
- Run a Ride Share program and try to arrange bus rentals to far away games
- Create, develop, and maintain an up-to-date informational website
