Cheerleading returns to Champlain Valley Union High School

Pivot, lunge, jump. Repeat — with pom-poms. So it went for the teenage girls practicing Wednesday with the new Champlain Valley Union High School cheerleading squad. After a long spell without an organized cheerleading club, the high school launched one this year and opened it to everyone, with no cuts. The club will debut at home football games this month with 26 students in the lineup.
